Barons Tee Ball

Welcome to Barons Tee Ball

This is the "official" website of the Barons Tee Ball team. We are a part of the Bolingbrook Tee Ball Association in Bolingbrook, IL.

Thanks for a great season

The Barons had another strong season and hoped to carry that moment into the playoffs. They were off to a good start when Jimmy hit his first homerun of the season. Alexis hit her first home run as well. Plus, she made some excellent plays in center field. Liam was hitting ropes down the third base line. Liam made several outstanding plays from the pitcher's mound including catching a fly ball. Jacob absolutely crushed the ball every time he batted. Cody didn't stop huslting the entire game. Alex played awesome defense at several positions and hit very well. Cassie, Nikky, Rikky, Leanne, Ellis, Brandon, and Mark all played their hearts out as well. Hallie missed this game but also played her heart out all season. However, it wasn't meant to be and the Barons season came to an end against a determine Spiders team.

On behalf of all of the Barons' coaches and parents, I would like to thank all of our kids for a wonderful season and wish them luck in whatever league they may end up in playing in next year.

A nail biter

Bottom of the last inning. Down by 3 runs. Bases loaded and 2 outs. Eighth batter at the plate. Most teams would have packed it in and chalked up the loss. Not the Barons. A two run double by Liam makes it a 1 run game with a runner on third and the winning run on second. Alex comes up to the plate as ninth batter and lines a rope over the shortstop. Two more runs score and the Barons come away with an awesome come from behind victory over a very determined Yankees team.

Lexi had another big game in the outfield for us. Rikky and Nikky came up with big hits when we needed them. Cody also had some big hits and played strong defensively. These kids played hard and never gave up.

Another big win

Another 9am game. This time, however, the kids were awake and ready to play. Cody continued his powerful hitting. Lexi gunned 2 runners out at 2nd after making nice plays in the outfield. Leanne played well in her first time at pitcher. Liam and Hallie were a force as first base and pitcher combining for several outs. Rikky had some big hits for us. Cassie had several key RBI's. Mark played solid on both offense and defense.

Division Champs!

Everybody hits. Everybody scores. That is how we played on Tuesday to clinch the division title and a playoff spot. Alex had some big hits and got 2 outs in one inning at first base. One was unassisted. The other was from a good play by Leanne playing catcher. Jacob caught a fly ball and quickly turned it into a double play. Brandon was hitting ropes off of the tee. Cody was everywhere. He got outs playing SS. He got outs playing catcher. And, he was hitting the ball very well. At the end of the game, we went to the bullpen to bring in our only lefthanded pitcher, Cassie. Our defense was solid. The ump never had to call "Ninth batter" when we were in the field.

Stay up late partying?

Everyone must have stayed up late Friday night partying. Because at gametime on Saturday, no one was awake yet. It took us 2 innings to wake up. Some big hits including a home run by Cody served as an alarm clock as the kids woke up and started to play. Nikky also had a big home run. Alex made some major league catches at first base to make some critical outs. Leanne had some good hits and scored for us. Hallie helped the defense by playing several key positions. Cassie was flying around the bases and scored multiple times. After a slow start, we came together as a team to overcome a very tough Braves team.

Big win!

The Knights were undefeated. That is, until the decided to mess with the Barons. Our kids came out ready to play. Everyone played a great game. Cody had some awesome hits. Mark lined one over the 3rd baseman's head. Lexi and Liam both roped a hit down the third baseline. Jacob made several nice defensive plays as pitcher. Lexi played great in the outfield. And, Jimmy, aka "Greased Lightning", scored all the way from 1st for the game clinching run. Awesome!

Our first lost, but we made it close

What a game! We ended up losing by 1 run. But, we have a lot to be proud of. Jacob crushed a ball that went over the fence on 1 bounce. Our outfield did a great job of getting the balls into the infield. Alex caught a pop up in the last inning for a crucial out. Cody made a lot of outs from the catcher position.

Lots of runs

Wow, 64 total runs in the game. Luckily, we had 33 of them to post our second win and remain undefeated. Everyone was hitting. Everyone was scoring. We will definitely need to work on our defense for the next time we play the Yankees so that we can stop them from scoring 31 again. Everybody played a good game. But, I want to single out Alexis. She got to play pitcher in the last inning and never stopped smiling. She made some pretty good play from there as well.

Still undefeated

It was cold. It was getting late. The camera batteries died. Nothing seemed to be in order for our game on Monday. But, the kids came through. Every inning, they matched the other team to turn a bad night into a good tie. Jacob had a huge grand slam for us. Ricky's home run tied the game. Hallie fired a bullet from shortstop to first base to get an out. Mark made a nice play to get an out from the pitcher's mound. Cassie had hits from both sides of the plate. And, Alexis was flying around the bases.

Convincing win

Wow! In our first game, we came out swinging. We outscored the other team 28-14. Hallie had a home run. Liam played a strong defensive game. Cody has some great hits. It all added up to a win. We really came together as a team to play a very good game.

Team notes

Make sure that your child's name is written on their hat and glove.

Also, we have to provide 3 umpires for 5 games. We need volunteers. You can view the games that we need to supply umpires for by clicking on the Umpire link in the menu at the right. If you can help out, let one of the coaches know.
